Graphic with CCISD logo. Did you know CCISD has a focused literacy program in younger grade levels? Copperas Cove ISD has seen enormous benefits after implementing a successful curriculum focused on phonics and phonemic awareness for students in Pre-K through 6th grade, building a strong foundation for all subjects. Every teacher in Copperas Cove serving Pre-K through 3rd grade students has completed the Texas Reading Academies, gaining valuable training, classroom observations and coaching from highly-qualified educators to ensure the teachers are well-equipped to support our students’ literacy development. Every administrator at a CCISD elementary campus has also completed the Texas Reading Academies, further strengthening our commitment to lead our district to outstanding early literacy achievement. Includes 4 photos of teachers working on reading with students.
