COPPERAS COVE – Copperas Cove ISD has announced the launch of a new program meant to continue the district’s efforts to better engage with the community.
The “Golden Dawgs” will kick off on Jan. 28th in the Board Room at the CCISD Service & Training Center on South Main Street.
“Copperas Cove has a large community, some of whom were Bulldawgs themselves, some sent their kids or grandkids to Cove schools and there are some who have no ties to our schools, but who call the same community home,” said CCISD Director of Communications Kurtis Quillin. “We want to make sure that everybody in our school district has the opportunity to learn about our schools, interact with our leadership and see the amazing opportunities our educators work tirelessly to provide for our students.”
The Golden Dawgs program is open to any Copperas Cove ISD resident age 60 or older, with opportunities to learn about the district, engage with its program offerings or even volunteer on the campuses, when appropriate.
Those who are interested in the program should email the CCISD communications department or visit CCISD.com/GoldenDawgs for more information.
The kickoff event will begin at 8:30 a.m. and include a light breakfast. Anybody planning to attend is kindly asked to RSVP by filling out the interest form located on the Golden Dawgs webpage.
