Copperas Cove ISD -

COPPERAS COVE – More than 70 junior high band students across Copperas Cove were selected for the Texas Music Educators Association All-Region Band.

Of the total 74, 42 are from S.C. Lee Jr. High and 32 from Copperas Cove Jr. High.

From Lee, 15 students qualified for the wind ensemble, 13 for symphonic band and five for the concert band. From Cove Jr. High, seven qualified for wind ensemble, nine for symphonic band and 13 for the concert band.

“We are incredibly proud of the more than six-dozen students who have continued a tradition of excellence in music and the arts here in Copperas Cove,” CCISD superintendent Dr. Joe Burns said. “The Pride of Cove is the Band of Bands in our area, and that also rings true at both of our junior high schools. I look forward to seeing the continued growth in store as both campuses move forward, especially in the arts.”
