Bond 2024: Proposed Renovation & Expansion at Copperas Cove High School
Currently, the high school has 88 exterior doors, which presents safety and security challenges. The expanded, newly-renovated high school would be designed for only three points of entry, making the school more secure
The current HS opened in 1974 as a junior high school. Today, CCHS enrollment sits at more than 2,200 students
The high school is 29% over-capacity
If the bond proposal is passed by the voters, CCHS would add more than 750 additional seats to accommodate the current population and future growth
The proposal includes expansion and renovations at Copperas Cove High School, accounting for 89% of the 2024 bond proposal
